WASHINGTON – Council on National Security and Immigration (CNSI) today released the following statement on the House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan’s comments expressing openness to bipartisan work on immigration reforms.

"We are encouraged that Rep. Jordan is signaling Republicans are open to work across the aisle on workforce solutions, including modernizing the H-1B and H-2A programs and providing certainty to Dreamers. Modernizing our immigration system is essential to promote American competitiveness, strengthening our economy and benefiting our national security.

“With the Republican congressional majority already taking steps to make needed investments in border security, Rep. Jordan and other leaders have an opportunity to make additional essential updates to our immigration system and work on a bipartisan basis to respond to the country’s economic and national security needs.”
